ATP in SMPH

Workday launched at UW–Madison on July 7 as part of the Administrative Transformation Program, or ATP, which involves standardizing administrative technology platforms and processes. Workday is a cloud-based enterprise resource planning system that will replace current systems used for HR, finance and related processes. You can access Workday through a new tile in MyUW.

The transition to Workday is impacting multiple domains and groups in the school, including human resources and payroll, fiscal affairs, research administration, and the reporting platforms many use in their work. Each area has different timelines and deadlines.

This is an accordion element with a series of buttons that open and close related content panels.

HRMed

HRMed will be affected by the transition from PeopleSoft to Workday. UW PeopleSoft sourced data imports will pause on July 3rd. UW data in HRMed will remain stale until validation of new imports from Workday is carried out, currently estimated to be July 31st. For more information and the latest updates, see ATP Workday Impact on HRMed.

FAST

FAST will continue to be updated through June month-end, but projections will be static after that. We are actively working on a replacement that uses Workday data, aiming to have basic functionality available this Fall. For more information and the latest updates, see ATP Workday Impact on FAST.

CATT

CATT financial data will continue to be updated through the end of FY25. We are actively working on a replacement that uses Workday data, aiming to have basic functionality available this Fall. Action items/task tracking can still be utilized in legacy CATT for existing projects. For more information and the latest updates, see ATP Workday Impact on CATT.

ADW Web

ADW Web will continue to be available through Spring 2026. Data will no longer be updated after Fiscal Year 2025. Report Status

Research Administration

RAMP 2.0 is now live!

Helpful hints to help navigate changes within RAMP impacted by the switch to Workday.

How to find and send Ancillary reviews to the SMPH Dean’s Office

  • 53-SMPH will no longer work for Ancillary Budget Reviews or to send any reviews to SMPH.
  • Instead of searching for A53 to get the division, it is now: UWMSN | CCHL5 | SMPH | School of Medicine and Public Health
  • The Org Cost Center Hierarchy (CCH) ID will be CCH000075.
  • Ancillary reviews for the Dean’s Office may also be sent to CC002425.

Award setup in SFS

Allow 4-6 weeks for award setup.

While an award or modification is waiting to be assigned, it will remain in “draft” status. During this time, units and departments can continue to update the SmartForm as needed.

AMRs/Mods

Please not that the comment feature in RAMP does not send a direct notification to RSP. You can identify the person assigned to your AMR by checking the Specialist field. If this field does not display a name, the AMR has not yet been assigned and is still progressing through the queue.

If you have questions regarding:

  • Carryover
  • Change in key personnel (not including PI)
  • Early Termination or Award Transfer (except related to Executive Orders, current process still remains)
  • No Cost Extension
  • Cost Share Adjustment
  • Rebudgets

Send an email to ramp-postaward@rsp.wisc.edu.

Frequently Asked Questions can be found on the RSP website. Please reach out with questions/comments to Christy Schulz, Trish Barribeau, Bridgett Molinar.
