OFAD Mission: Foster a healthy and supportive learning, research and clinical environment for all stakeholders by ensuring that SMPH faculty have the resources, skills and competencies they require to lead successful and fulfilling professional lives.
OFAD announces a new program geared towards faculty development and support of faculty who are underrepresented in medicine (URM) in Wisconsin. The Affiliate Centennial Scholars Program (ACSP) builds upon the success of the “traditional” Centennial Scholars Program, this expansion and new learning community is focused on offering faculty development aimed at increasing mentoring skills for our diverse faculty so they can offer effective mentorship to our URM students. Application deadline for the first cohort is May 15th.
The Council for Faculty Development Liaisons was created in the fall of 2017 to guide the Dean’s Office on faculty development at SMPH and disseminate information to the departments and centers. This council is made up of faculty and staff from all SMPH departments and centers who work directly or have an interest in faculty development.
