The University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health’s Office of Basic Research, Biotechnology and Graduate Studies provides expertise to assist faculty and research administrators in all aspects of preaward research administration.
The staff provides information on funding opportunities, assists with proposal preparation, budget compliance reviews and approves all research proposals originating within the medical school.
In addition, material transfer, confidentiality, data use, clinical trial, and research agreements flow through this office.
Our team:
- Provides expertise and assistance to investigators to advance the research mission and knowledge at UW
- Protects the university and SMPH by assuring compliance with sponsor guidelines and expectations
- Provides appropriate stewardship of university resources
