Non-federal opportunities

The School of Medicine and Public Health Research Division regularly receives announcements of non-federal funding opportunities relevant to SMPH researchers. These opportunities are drawn mainly from organizational websites and email list-servs monitored by Research Division staff.

Federal Opportunities

A “one-stop shop” for U.S. Federal government funding. All current opportunities from 26 U.S. government agencies, including National Institutes of Health, National Science Foundation, Department of Education and Department of the Interior.

National Institutes of Health

Current and past RFAs (requests for applications), PAs (program announcements) and notices from the National Institutes of Health.

National Science Foundation

Current solicitations and previous awards from the National Science Foundation.

Grant Forward (formerly IRIS)

Provides information on over 10,000 grants available to both individuals and organizations from 4,000 federal, state, and local governments, commercial organizations, associations and private foundations. Formerly Illinois Researcher Information Services (IRIS).

Sponsored Programs Information Network (SPIN)

Provides access to funding information for research, development activities, international projects, collaborative programs, fellowships, academic exchange programs and more.
