The grievance process provides a means to resolve disputes which have not been resolved through the normal process of reasoned discussion. When a faculty grievance arises, all parties will benefit from having clearly established guidelines and procedures for presentation and resolution of the grievance.
This process is available to any faculty member who believes that his/her rights have been violated or that he/she has been dealt with unfairly. Tenured/ Tenure Track Faculty should refer to the UWSMPH Faculty Grievances Procedure and UW-Madison FP&P 8.15. Academic Staff Faculty will need to review the UWSMPH Faculty Grievances Procedure and UW-Madison ASPP Chapter 7.
