Self-directed learning is a process where the learners take the initiative to determine their learning needs and what objectives and resources will meet those needs. When thinking critically we use a disciplined process to arrive at answers or solutions. Evidence based medicine (EBM) is the use of evidence or the best information available for decision making in clinical practice.
