In honor of Juneteenth, a significant day commemorating the end of chattel slavery and the profound symbol of freedom it represents, we are excited to announce that we will be raising the Juneteenth Flag on Thursday, June 19 between 7:30-9:30 a.m.
We extend an invitation to UW Health and the School of Medicine and Public Health to join us in this momentous occasion as we come together to celebrate the resilience, strength, and contributions of the Black and African American community. This event is a celebration of Blackness and Black life.
Please gather with us at the flagpole at Eastpark Medical Center, located at 4621 Eastpark Blvd, Madison, WI. Be sure to seek approval from your supervisor, as needed, to attend.
Let’s come together in unity and celebration as we raise the Juneteenth Flag high!
