SMPH CASI Call for Nominations

Dear SMPH Community Member,

We are writing to invite you to take part in the CASI* community at the School of Medicine and Public Health. We are a group of staff representatives from across the SMPH community. We advise the Dean on the formulation and review of all policies and procedures concerning SMPH academic staff. Our vision is to create a culture that is welcoming, inclusive, and allows staff to thrive through engagement, empowerment and recognition.

Voting representatives on the SMPH CASI are chosen by their peers through an election, and serve a term of 3 years. We invite you to take part in our annual Fall election by nominating yourself or a colleague to run for 3 open seats on the SMPH CASI. We especially encourage nominees from among our BIPOC community in the School because one of our goals is to challenge our history and more completely represent SMPH academic staff. We believe this is fundamental to fulfilling our vision and upholding our values.

The committee meets monthly for 90 minutes and there can be interim work on task teams and subcommittees. Submit your Nomination Form by November 23 by following the personalized link in the Call for Nominations email from the Secretary of the Academic Staff (sent 11/9 and 11/17).
