Office of Basic Science and Research announces new SMPH Core Facilities website

The SMPH Office of Basic Science and Research is pleased to announce the new SMPH Core Facilities website: cores.smph.wisc.edu.

This website is a repository of information describing in detail SMPH Core Facilities and the services available for intramural and extramural use. Each core facility lists specific instrumentation, technologies, consultation services, and other services that scientific and clinical investigators have access to. Our future goal is for this site to be available to external customers to provide access to our service core infrastructure and to specialized services.

Current Core Facilities

The new website lists core facilities that currently provide services to researchers and their projects. Cores are listed in clusters and are grouped together based on similar or related services. These include:

  • Cell Biology
  • Clinical Enrollment & Community Engagement
  • Data Sciences
  • Drug Development
  • Histology & Pathology
  • Imaging
  • Infrastructure
  • Model Systems

New Core Facility Development and Industry Partnerships

Interested in creating or establishing a new core facility? This site provides researchers with information on how to create a core with helpful links to the process. In addition, required agreements for industry partnerships are also available. Agreements include:

  • Confidentiality Agreements (CDAs) and Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDAs)
  • Consulting Agreements
  • Data Use Agreements
  • Fee for Service Agreements
  • Material Transfer Agreements
  • Research Agreements

If you have questions or need additional information about the core clusters or starting a new core facility, please feel free to contact Jon Audhya at audhya@wisc.edu or Leslie Lord at lllord@wisc.edu.
