The UW–Madison Emergency Operations Center (EOC) Resource and Logistics Team thanks laboratories and other units on campus who have participated in a campus-wide collection of personal protective equipment (PPE) so that stocks of PPE can be centralized and deployed as needed for essential use. Here is additional information from the team about PPE drop-off locations for Wednesday, March 25, 2020:
There has been overwhelming support from everyone for offering their PPE during these difficult times. This is a great start to what is truly needed to continue our emergency response to our patient care, immediate response and animal care. We at the EOC have been inundated with requests for pick-up of PPE, and we are doing our best to fulfill those requests. To help out, we have identified two centralized drop-off locations.
Please fill out this form so we can track inventory and know where these materials come from (and where to direct our thanks), as well as how/where to replenish the equipment at a future date. If you don’t have all of the information that the form requests, email the EOC PPE team with the missing information. Staff at the drop-off locations will also have printouts of the forms if needed.
Bring PPE contributions to either of these locations on Wednesday, March 25, 2020 from 8 am – 3 pm:
- Wisconsin Institute For Medical Research (WIMR), 1111 Highland Ave., at the loading dock.
Enter through the front door and head down to the dock, by room 1450. You can also go to the back dock area if you are unloading from your vehicle.
- Medical Sciences Center (MSC), 1300 University Avenue, at the loading dock.
Enter from the dock, by lot 20. This is the only door that will be unlocked during this time.
Again, thank you so much for the help. We will be in communication with everyone that helps out so you are aware when we will have the replacement PPE. Anything that you can donate will help out too. In these challenging times, we will accept expired or single items. Please do not bring opened materials or anything hazardous. We are only interested in PPE. We are primarily focused on collecting the following materials:
Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
· N95 Respirators
· Procedure Masks
· Tyvek Suits
· Face shields/procedure masks
· Hand Sanitizer
· Disinfectant Wipes
