The University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health's Office of Research and Graduate Studies assists faculty in all phases of research administration.
The staff provides information on funding opportunities (including the Sponsored Programs Information Network, International Research and Exchanges Board, Illinois Research Information Service), assists with proposal preparation and reviews and approves all research proposals originating within the medical school.
In addition, material transfer agreements and confidentiality agreements are reviewed by this office.
Other support services managed by the Office of Research and Graduate Studies at the UW School of Medicine and Public Health include:
- Clinical trials administration
- The institutional review board for human subjects research
- Creation of media products to enhance research and education
- Animal care facilities
- Technology transfer activities
